1 month

I am waaay behind considering Dawson will be 2 months this week, but he turned 1 month on February 29. I'm afraid I'll always be behind..ha. 4th baby syndrome ;)

Here is what he was up to in his first month:
  • We made it to his 1 month well check on the 6th. He weighed in at 9 pounds 12.5 ounces (35th percentile) and is 22.25 inches long (71st percentile).
  • He also got his second dose of Hepatitis B. He got a Batman bandaid..ha.
  • He loves the bath. Sometimes he'll be really upset when I get him undressed, but once I get him in the bath he totally relaxes :)
These next 3 pictures are from his first bath at home ("sponge bath" since his umbilical tag was still on).

His first "real" bath after his umbilical tag (is that what you call it?) came off. I was helping with his privacy ;)

  • He gets the hiccups pretty much after every feeding and doesn't seem to like them too much :/
  • He spent quite a bit of time sleeping in the Rock 'n' Play during the day.

I also bring the Rock 'n' Play in the bathroom while I'm showering.

  • It always cracked me up that he'd kind of end up in a ball in my lap, just like when he was in my belly :)

  • Mom can't stop kissing him!
It cracks me up when he extends his head way back, I call this his "bird neck" :) Doesn't he look like a baby bird?!

  • Or snuggling him :)

Snuggling with Daddy.

Snuggling with Grandma C.

Love this shot I got of him with portrait mode on my phone!

More pictures from his first month.

We went to Dawson's first checkup when he was 3 days old and it was Dr. Laks's idea to get this shot. Trent actually went to her when he was in high school and now she has seen all of our kids! We love her :)

I couldn't resist these darling doggie jammies when I was pregnant and found out Dawson was a boy :)

Adventure Awaits ;)

I texted this picture to my family one night and was saying that one surefire way to wake him up is to change his diaper..haha.

Grabbed onto my finger :)

And my thumb here ;)

I bought this little outfit for Dawson and had planned to put him in it to announce his arrival when he was born, but it didn't come in time! It was literally in the mailbox when we got home from the hospital - he came a little too early! So I put him in it on his due date on February 7th :)

I also bought this darling bonnet while I was pregnant to use during Dawson's newborn photos, so I had to try it on him ;)

Behind the scenes at his newborns on February 8th.

Haha, we tried to copy a newborn shot I have with Beckett, but we kind of failed..haha. Dawson wouldn't relax ;)

Obviously Beckett's was professional ;)

It usually works out that I just change one right after the other..ha.

Valentine's Day!!

I also had to snatch up these jammies while I was pregnant since I knew I'd have a newborn for Valentine's Day :)

Amber and Lincoln were in town that weekend and this is the only photo I have!

Burrito baby :)

I came out to the living room and found Dawson like this. Aiden was trying to keep him warm..haha.

Do you notice anything?? Beckett will do anything to get Dawson's paci..ha (which was originally his :/ ) Thankfully Beckett isn't attached anymore and doesn't fight to have it at bedtime or anything.

Lots of times he'll fall asleep in my lap after I feed him, while I catch up on text messages, etc.

So relaxed!

And this isn't even all of them! We're busy over here!

Trent built a fort in the kids room for a movie night. I was dying over Janie with her glasses!!

Along for the ride during Janie's field trip to the zoo.

Both needing some love.

1 month photo shoot - sneezing ;)

So sweet and sleepy.

First day to Church! Dawson and I stayed home for the first month since it was RSV season.

Sleepy little guy.

Dawson is a great baby! He doesn't cry much and we are so grateful. I keep telling people that Beckett was a good baby so I kept thinking there's no way I could have another good baby. I just kept waiting for Dawson to get hard/colicky, but I really do think he's just a good baby! Or we're just pros now as parents and the crying doesn't phase us ;) We sure love him and are so excited that he is starting to interact more with each day that passes!
