Ward Halloween Party

Can you tell what we dressed up as for the Ward Halloween party? It's not too hard..haha

This picture has better lighting.

Trent was a worker bee, hence the tool belt, and I was the queen bee, hence the crown :) I thought we were pretty cute!

Trent wanted us to flap our wings?!

Here we are with Nayvi and Maggie from our primary class. They were candy corn witches. They're pretty cute!

Pumpkins!

This last Friday evening we headed to the pumpkin patch with my parents and Amber. I always love getting pumpkins!

Haha, Amber pulled Trent around in one of the wagons :)

Then I hopped in :)
Trent said to do a scary face, but then ended up smiling..haha. I think I look quite scary!

Sunday, Amber's birthday, we went over to celebrate and carve our pumpkins.

Here's Haddie in her cute cubby hole, and Tess escaping the picture (she hates the camera!)

I wanted to get a picture with Haddie and the pumpkins, but she wasn't cooperating.

She looks pretty cute on the couch with Trent though. I can't help taking pictures of her :)

Trent preparing to de-gut his pumpkin.

I carved a bat in mine :)

Mom, Dad, and Amber did a cat. It's super cute, but it's kind of hard to see in this picture.

Mom was talking to Jen on the phone.

Trent did a swirl all around his pumpkin.

Our pumpkins all lit up :)

It was way fun! We just hope they last until Sunday. It's supposed to be in the 80's this week and we're kind of worried they'll dry out. Stay tuned for pictures later this week of our costumes :)

Trent's 26th!

Trent turned 26 this last Sunday! Poor guy had to give a talk on his birthday, but boy did he do a good job! He touched so many people. He had my mom and I crying, that's for sure! He was asked to talk about missionary work and the bishopric specifically targeted him because Trent is a convert. He told his conversion story and about an experience on his mission. It was a great talk. So many people came up to talk to him afterwards!

After Sacrament meeting, Sam, from our primary class, brought me a folded up note and it turned out to be this picture!
I think he just traced the hymn book, but I thought it was pretty cute :) It made me laugh because Sam is a rowdy boy, probably the most difficult in our class, so I thought he really didn't like us because we often have to tell him to settle down. I was surprised that he thought to draw me something!

Before we headed home from church, Mia, from our primary class, gave Trent this birthday note! She's super cute :) It's hard to read in this picture.

We got home and Trent opened his presents.

For some reason I didn't think to take pictures while he was opening them..haha.

I got him "17 Again", a nice jacket from Gap, and an iPod armband. Unfortunately, Trent told both his mom and myself that he wanted an armband so we both got him one..haha. He'll end up returning one of them :)

Later we went to my parents' for dinner, and Trent's parents came as well. I forgot to bring my camera there too so I got hardly any pictures from his birthday :/ My mom got a few. Oh, and, so cute. Mia, who I mentioned earlier, stopped by my parents' with a bag of cookies for Trent :) I think (hope) he had a good day!

This is Monday before Trent headed out on a run with one of his new armbands ;)

First-Time Parents

NO, we are not pregnant! Monday thru Wednesday though, for the first time, we stayed at a family's home in the ward and babysat 3 of their kids, Tristan, 5, Maggie, 6, and Davis, 12. Their parents, Nicole and Travis, were a Ma and Pa for trek and their 3 oldest girls went as well.

We showed up Monday morning at 5 a.m. and Maggie and Tristan were already UP! We were thinking it was going to be a LONG day, but later on Tristan fell asleep at 5 p.m. and slept through the night..haha.

Here are some pictures!

Here is Maggie (who is in our primary class!), their sweet dog, Lulu, and Tristan. Davis was gone most of the time with football practice, and while he was home he kind of just did his own thing, so I don't have a picture of him. I don't think he would've wanted me to take a picture of him anyway!

Maggie discovered my straightening brush for when I blowdry my hair and did our hair for a little bit..haha. She would also put her lipstick on me :)

Monday afternoon their cousin, Dallin, came to play. They decided to swim! Yes, it is the middle of October and it's still in the 80's and 90's and warm enough to swim!

Maggie loved using my camera to take pictures, as well as Photo Booth on my Mac. I have too many of her pictures to count!

She got a picture of us working on making spaghetti and garlic bread Monday night.

Maggie and Tristan both had playdates on Tuesday. They got home around 3 and zonked out for a few hours. Later that evening I played Bingo with Maggie.

I loved the ball dispenser. It's so official :)

We promised the kids that we'd go on a bike ride Wednesday morning and they held us to it. We went on an 8 a.m. bike ride! Trent and I got the tandem. I had Maggie take a picture of us on it, but she wouldn't count, so the first time I blinked and the second time we just weren't ready, and then she ran off on her scooter, so Trent just got a picture of me on it..haha.

It was so fun and Trent said maybe we'll think about getting beach cruisers for Christmas! Here's our cute shadow :)

When we got back we made bacon and eggs for breakfast. Trent cracked the eggs so perfectly so I got a picture :)

Trek ended that afternoon and the McBeth's got back around 4. I had to get to work by 2 so Trent hung around while the kids swam again :) All in all we enjoyed our time as "first-time parents." We had to clean up after the kids quite a bit, as well as Lulu (she ripped all of the stuffing out of one of her stuffed animals), but we really had a fun time. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Trent was so good with the kids. He was willing to wrestle and fight them. And he would get so into it! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! The kids loved it!

Our New Car!

This past week Trent and I got a new car! It's a 2005 VW Passat and we are so psyched! This is big for us because we've only had one car since we've been married (almost 2 1/2 years). Trent brought a Pontiac Bonneville into our marriage so he'll primarily use that and I'll primarily use the Passat. Yay! Today we got it all registered at the DMV and got a license plate for it, so it's all set to go :)

Trent putting our new license plate on.

Let me just tell you, it's beautiful inside and out..haha. Can you tell I'm excited?! Here are several pictures, mostly for my sisters who have been anxiously awaiting :)

Loving our new car!
