Shoesies

I lined up all of baby's cute shoesies that I received from the baby shower :)  The whole front row are actually socks (except the little teddy slippers)..haha.

These ones are supposed to look like little Converses :)

I've spent the last week getting the nursery all organized, washing all of baby's clothes and accessories, installing the car seat, and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning!  I think I'm ready!!  Well as ready as I'll ever be, right?!

Here are comparison bump pictures in the same dress!

22 weeks and this last Sunday at 38 weeks!

Without my cardi

I had to laugh because I can't believe how much bigger and rounder my belly is!  I really do look like I swallowed a basketball or something!

I have another appt. tomorrow to see if I've made any progression. Now if only I knew when baby is deciding to come!  Will this be my last blog post before he arrives??  Who knows!

My Baby Shower :)

This last Saturday was my long-awaited baby shower!  And it turned out so great!  I only really got pictures before the guests came.

Trent (he had just come from a ward service project) and I behind the food table (that was still being set up).

We picked up those canvases from a cute boutique in downtown Mesa back after our first ultrasound when we found out we were having a boy, but kept it a secret from our family for several more weeks :)  They have been the basis for our nursery theme.  And check out the adorable cake! Everyone was so impressed!

A close-up.  Tanis (Trent's mom) has a very talented friend, huh?!

After Amber, Jill, and Jen showed up :)

The cute favors :)

A close-up.  A sister in the ward, who is known for her cookies, made them for us!  Delicious!

With my beautiful mom :)

On the left is the crib quilt from our bedding and a diaper cake (it didn't photograph very well).  On the right is the beautiful Petunia Picklebottom diaper bag my mom got for us and also the baby blanket she and Amber made for us!  I'm so excited about all of it!

The three hostesses and I at the very end.  Nicole McBeth, who offered up her beautiful home, my mother-in-law, Tanis, and of course, my mom :) They all made for a beautiful shower!  Thank you so much ladies!

We felt pretty spoiled when we headed home with all of our gifts.  I know this picture just looks like a mess..haha.  Most of the gifts are packed into all of the bags.  We are SO grateful for all of our family and friends and their generosity, love, and support!  We feel very blessed!

And my 37-week bump with a glimpse at the non-cluttered side of our nursery.  It still needs a lot of work, but we're excited with how it's coming together :)

You can see our new glider in this picture!  We were absolutely floored when Trent's second-cousins purchased our glider and had it delivered to us!  Trent can attest to how excited I was!  We never expected anyone to get it for us back when we registered for it. Again, we are SO grateful for such loving family and friends!

The shower was wonderful and now we are feeling pretty much ready to meet our little boy!  Our car seat should be coming in today (thank goodness!) and then we just wait for this little guy to make his debut!  Last Wednesday I was 1.5 cm dilated so we're hoping that's a good sign and that he'll come a little early.  We'll see my progress again on Wednesday!

T. Swift

Saturday Jen, Jill, and I got to go see Taylor Swift (love her!) on her "Speak Now" world tour.  There was no way we were missing her when we found out she was coming to Phoenix.  After all, she was on my bucket list, and who knows if this will be her last tour (I kind of doubt it, but you never know!).

A picture before we headed off (myself, Jen, and Jill).

Jen wanted this shot..haha.  35 weeks!

We got there and got right into a ridiculously long line for t-shirts, only to finally get to the front and they didn't have the t-shirt I wanted in x-small (prematernity!).  Jen and Jill were able to get theirs though.  I'll be ordering one soon!  I need proof that I have marked Taylor Swift off my bucket list ;)

We finally got into the arena and an opening band, Needtobreathe, was performing. We didn't realize we knew them until they played "Something Beautiful" (good song btw).  They were great!

These first 2 pictures are of Needtobreathe.

And then Taylor was up!  Woohoo!  Bear with me.  I seriously took like 90 pictures of her!  I tried to condense (am I using that word right?), but there are still a lot here!  It was so hard for me not to put them all up..haha.  If you don't care about Taylor at all, you may want to just leave now!

When she first came up through the stage!  SO exciting..haha.

We actually had really close seats, but they were on the very left of the stage - like the farthest you could go - so most of my pictures are profile shots of Taylor.

I put up any of the ones where she was walking towards us or facing us :)

She opened with "Sparks Fly."

Performing "Mine."

Performing "The Story of Us."

Taylor with a bunch of her back-up singers and dancers.

She played her banjo during "Our Song" and "Mean" and dressed the part ;)

I loved her interactions with the audience :)

Performing "Better Than Revenge."

There was a whole wedding scene going on while Taylor was performing "Speak Now"..haha.

Then Taylor went down through the audience to a tree near the back of the arena to get closer to everyone back there.  She covered Michelle Branch's (she's from AZ) "All You Wanted" and also performed "Fearless" (and threw in some of "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz), "Last Kiss" and "You Belong With Me" back there.

After she came back through the audience and was getting back on the stage.

Performing "Dear John" on the steps.  Fireworks went off towards the end of this song!

Performing "Enchanted."

Performing "Haunted."

This was a fun surprise!  She brought Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World, who is from right here in Mesa(!), and they performed "The Middle" together. Brought back some great high school memories!

It was pretty funny because there were a bunch of teeny-boppers there with their parents and they clearly had never heard this song!

And then my camera died :(

She performed "Long Live", "Ours" (which we hadn't heard before), and "Fifteen" after my camera died.  Her final song was "Love Song" and I'm so bummed I didn't get pictures.  This is our (Jen, Jill, and I) favorite song of hers and we were so relieved she performed it.  She got in a balcony during it and it whisked her up and all around the arena.  She got pretty close to all of the people way up in the arena!  Wish I had gotten pictures!

Anyway, we had a great time!  It was an awesome concert!  We had heard people (haters) say that she is awful live, but we were really impressed! Definitely worth it and I would see her again for sure :)

P.S. Earlier today (Tuesday) I had the startling realization that it was October 25th.  This little guy is due November 25th!  That's one month people!

Nesting

In the last week or so I have really gotten into nesting mode.  We have started to clear out our guest bedroom to make room for baby's crib, dresser, etc.

Thursday we stopped by Target and, among other things, picked up some storage boxes for all of our decorations which we've always kept in the guest room.  We also picked up some baby hangers.

You probably can't tell, but they are little baby hangers :)

It made me laugh that this sticker was on the lid.  There is a warning that says "WARNING: To avoid risk of suffocation, do not allow children to play inside this container with lid."  Well, duh!  Ha!

Saturday Trent and his parents picked up our crib!  Trent's parents surprised us and purchased it for us!  A HUGE thank you to them! We are so grateful for our families and all of their support.  This is the first grandbaby on both sides so we're thinking he's going to be a bit spoiled ;)

Here is a sneak peek of the crib from the store.  We have different bedding though.

Today (Monday) we headed to Babies "r" Us to pick up our crib bedding.  We had to take advantage of the Expectant Moms parking ;)

Here's a sneak peek of the bedding.  It's way cute - the nursery is a jungle safari theme :)

Definitely stay tuned for pictures of our complete nursery in the next several weeks!

And because Trent and I happened to wear pretty much the same outfit today, we thought we'd get some pictures :)

Too bad the sun was a bit patchy in this one.

Baby bump at 33 weeks!  AH!

Tomorrow we'll continue to clear out the guest bedroom and hopefully start putting our crib together!
