Wagon Ride

These pictures aren't great because I took them from the window, but they're too cute not to share with you!  Trent was out grilling some chicken last night and these girls from our complex offered to pull Aiden around in their wagon :)  I was up preparing some asparagus and making a new dessert and spotted them from the window.  It was cracking me up, so I quickly grabbed the camera :)  He was just sitting there quietly, enjoying the ride.  Oh Aiden, such a little stud! Girls love him already ;)

The Significance of 17

This last Sunday, St. Patrick's Day, after Church we realized it was 6 years ago we went on our first date.  And then I realized the significance of the number 17 in my life.

- We went on our first date on March 17 ('07).
- Trent's birthday is October 17 ('84).
- We got engaged November 17 ('07).
- Aiden was born November 17 ('11).

And if we had just waited one more day we would have gotten married May 17 ('08), but I wanted to get married on a Friday rather than a Saturday.  Darn!

We'll have to see if any other significant things happen on a 17th!

And here's just a video we got on Sunday while I was making our St. Patty's shake.  Aiden thought it was so funny when I'd pulse it.

Reminds me a little bit of THIS post :)

At Sea

Tuesday and Wednesday we were at sea - meaning we didn't get off the ship at all.  We started Tuesday off at the Character Breakfast.  Aiden didn't really react to the characters - he would just stare and stare..haha.

My family came late so we got a shot with Goofy with the Lund girls and Dane.

Aiden and Tess are almost exactly a month apart.  I am so mad I didn't get a better shot of them together :(

The fam with Minnie Mouse!

The fam with Pluto!

While I wasn't looking Aiden stole my pineapple!

It was a little tangy..ha.

The waiter made us bows out of the napkins :)

Later we met the Princesses.  Grandma got Aiden some Mickey ears for the big occasion ;)

Belle.  I think this picture is totally awkward because Belle was hitting on my boys ;)  But really, she has her back turned to me!  What the?!

Cute one with Snow White :)

GG (my grandma wants the great grandkids to call her that) brought down an autograph book for Aiden.

Ariel.

It was formal attire for dinner that evening.  Our little family all dressed up.

After dinner we put our sweats on (it was cold!) and Aiden in his pajamas and chit chatted in my sisters' room with some of the cousins.  We were always the first ones to head out because we had to get Aiden to bed.

Aiden and Daddy on the way back to our room.

I love how Aiden grabs onto Trent's head..haha.

Did I mention that all of the family was on level 2 and we were on level SIX (except my grandma and the Jensen's who had a fancy suite on level 8)??  And we were on the complete opposite side of the ship??  That was a little annoying!  It was good though to have our own space so that we could keep Aiden relatively on his routine.

They are just so cute!

Although we were still at sea Wednesday, it was a special day because the cruise ship wound its way through the Tracy Arm Fjord.  It is located in the Tongass National Forest and is about 45 miles south of Juneau.  We all bundled up and went out on deck to check out the icebergs and glacier.

Making our way through the fjord.

The glacier!

We learned that the glacier is that blue color - "glacial blue" - due to the microscopic sediment or glacial flour.

Aiden looked even more chubby in all of his warm clothes :)

Since I didn't get any pictures with the cousins, I "borrowed" this picture from Jill.

Closer look at the glacier.

Inside to warm up a bit.

Thankfully Jen brought a whole box of hand-me-downs down from Salt Lake (from the 4 boys she nannied) because we didn't have any long sleeves for Aiden for this trip.  We found this little treasure in the box - Aiden's very own little Patagonia coat :)

I'm bummed because I didn't get a picture of all of the seals hanging out on the icebergs.

Once the ship turned around to make its way out of the fjord we headed back inside.  They were watching "The Lorax" on TV.

Got this picture from Jen and Jill's room.  They had a window.  We were a little jealous.

Aiden just playing.

I love that he always has his little ankles crossed.

Everyone loved the whale on his bum :)

Later that evening we left Aiden with my mom and went to "The Comedy & Ventriloquism of Michael Harrison."  He actually appeared on "America's Got Talent" in 2008 and finished as a finalist.  He was fantastic!  It takes a lot to make me laugh, but he had me laughing, maybe for different reasons than the rest of the audience, but still!  I would totally tell anyone to go see him :)  Definitely check out some of his YouTube videos.

This was one of his acts:

Stay tuned for my next blog post from Alaska :)

Pure Joy

This kid is pure joy.  He's honestly happy like 90 percent of the time.  It makes us nervous that our first baby has been so easy, we just keep thinking surely one of our next ones will be hard.

So I forgot to put a point in Aiden's 8 month post.  Sometimes Aiden is a little too confident in his abilities in standing up and therefore will randomly lose his balance and fall flat on his back.

This was one of those times.

And at first he actually wasn't so happy.  He had a look on his face like he was about to cry, but I knew he was fine so I just started laughing at him. He just kept laying there, not moving, except for his eyes, so I hurry and grab my camera, and what does he do?  Gives me the biggest smile!! What a goof!

Then there's this sequence of photos.  PURE JOY!

And of course, the video.  Our families seriously can't get enough of this video!  I tell everyone that this is a video I'll watch if I ever need a pick-me-up because it makes me laugh every time.

I know I've posted it on Facebook, but in case any of you haven't seen it ;)

Actually, when we play this video now, Aiden gets this huge smile on his face and starts to laugh a little bit.  So now I feel like I need to get a video of him watching this video..haha.

Aiden Went to His First Birthday Party

This last Saturday we went with Aiden to his first birthday party.  It was for Naomi (Cody and Kristell's daughter - I wrote about them here) who turned a year old!  The party was at Cody's parents' home and it was so fun to be able to catch up with all of the Wray's :)  We had a great time.  I only got two pictures, but that's better than usual when we're with Cody and Kristell.

It's crazy that we all have kids!  Aiden was the youngest. Notice how none of the babies are looking at the camera..ha.

From l to r: Kristell and Naomi, Kristel (Kristell's sister-in-law, crazy that they have the same name, huh?!) and Cosette, me and Aiden, Kelly and Brielle, and Kaitie (another sister-in-law of Kristell) and Ryker.  We were wondering if Kaitie was even going to be at the party because she was having contractions.  She has since had her beautiful baby girl!

We got a picture with Naomi, Kristell, and Cody before we headed out.  Aiden had totally zonked!

Not a great picture because of the shadows on our faces.

Later in the afternoon we got down on the floor with Aiden for some tummy time.

He promptly rolled onto his back :)  Such a happy boy!

Then we went on a walk that ended up being more eventful then we thought it would be.

We were walking along and saw this mommy goose sitting on her nest.

Further ahead we saw this goose just standing around.

Well he wasn't  just standing around.  It turns out he was actually guarding the mommy goose and as we approached him he came running at us hissing.  I seriously thought he was going to bite me so I stopped pushing Aiden and ran..haha.  I was laughing so hard!  The goose was seriously standing right by Aiden and his stroller and Trent and I didn't know what to do..haha.  After a minute or two Trent got up the courage to grab the stroller and we got away from that goose as quickly as we could..haha.  It was hilarious! And Aiden slept through the whole thing :)  We should have known because Brinly and Kyle (friends in our complex and in the ward) warned us about this goose last year. Their living room window looks out on this "lake" and they watch and laugh at anyone who walks by and gets attacked by this goose..haha.

All in all it was a good Saturday!
