Love it!

I feel like I just posted about (500) Days of Summer (here), but I watched it again last week while I was finishing up my wreath (post below) and I had to share this.

Have you guys seen this video?! It makes me so happy! And the dancing totally cracks me up! And I really wish Zooey and Joseph would have dated in real life because I think they are adorable together. Except I just Wikipedia-ed (do you love how I made that a verb?) Zooey and found out she's already married..haha. So much for that!

Oh and I just found out that this is actually Zooey singing. I think subconsciously I knew that because she has such a distinct voice, but it was fun to find out for sure. She's in a band called She & Him. Isn't she talented? I just love her!

P.S. Babe, we are so learning this dance..haha

My Valentine's Wreath!

I am home sick from church today. Not only is my nose running like a faucet, but I'm on my period. No fun, no fun at all.

But enough of that. This is supposed to be a happy post because, guess what! I just hung up my Valentine's wreath!! Haha, I know it's almost a week past Valentine's, but I made this wreath and it took a whole lot longer than I thought it would. I discovered the tutorial for this wreath through a friend back in January and just knew I was going to make one for myself! Is it not gorgeous?!

One of the reasons I wasn't quite able to get my wreath done before Valentine's Day is because we couldn't find plain red cardstock anywhere. We could only find cardstock in multi-colored packs so there'd be like 10 pieces of red and then a bunch of other colors that I obviously didn't need. I finally just had to order online from Jo-Ann's and then it took TWO whole weeks to get here. I couldn't believe it! I knew then that this wreath was not going to be ready by Valentine's.

But that's okay. It's done now and I love it! Oh and the name of the color of my cardstock is Raspberry Splash! Isn't that fun?!

Here are all of my supplies before I got started (and knew what I was getting myself into..haha)

I have to admit that when I first started rolling my roses, and they weren't turning out the way they look in the tutorial, I was definitely frustrated. Luckily I got the hang of it! And it was fun to be able to pop in a movie while I was rolling.

Rolling yet another rose..haha. It was definitely tedious at times. Towards the end though, Trent jumped in! And I swear his roses turned out better than mine. What the?!

Sorry I don't have any other pictures. Trent was assigned to take candids, but was pretty sick during the week I worked on this. The only thing I did differently from the tutorial was that I waited to spray the adhesive and sprinkle the glitter until the very end. I thought it was easier that way.

And my final product!

What do you think?! I'm in love with it! And trust me, even though it's past Valentine's Day, this wreath is staying up for at least the rest of the month, if not longer!

Deal!

Trent gets really excited when I make our bed (he thinks I do a better job than he does) so yesterday he made a deal with me that if I make our bed everyday, he'll make dinner every night! Man, I seem to have gotten off easy! I guess Trent already makes dinner probably 75% of the time and the other 25% we make it together..haha. Don't judge! He's just a little chef! He's also too impatient for me to finish watching "Ellen", which shows from 4-5 here..haha. He's always too hungry to wait! I'm definitely a lucky girl though! Love you sweet boy!

P.S. Please know that I have every intention of cooking more, especially once Trent goes back to school and goes on from there to get a full-time job :)

Music Memories

I love music! This morning I was getting ready and listening to music. I usually listen to my music on iTunes DJ because it shuffles my music. I love seeing what song pops up next :) It's funny how you often associate certain songs with certain things. Sometimes a song brings back a specific memory. Two songs came on this morning that were like that for me and totally had me dancing :)

First, "Send Me On My Way" by Rusted Root. I love this song! This one doesn't bring back a specific memory, but it always makes me think of "Ice Age" and "Matilda". Good movies! Here's their music video (I just watched it for the first time). It's an interesting video..haha!

The other song was "I'm Shakin'" by Rooney. Most of you know that I have a twin sister, a sister a year younger (11 months actually!) and another sister a year younger than her. So for my junior and senior year all 4 of us were in high school together! SO fun! One of our good friends Jessie Livingston burned us a c.d. either my junior or senior year and it was a c.d. that we'd often pop in after seminary on our way to school. This was one of the songs on it. This song will forever remind me of being in the car with my sisters :) Fun times for sure!

Here's the music video for it. Nothing too exciting!

I'm sure I'll do more posts in the future with music that brings back great memories :)

P.S. Shout out to my dad! It's his birthday today :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! We're going to celebrate a little later! Love you Dad!

Best Job EVER!!

A few weeks ago I started a new job. And I honestly think it's the best job ever! I get to watch a sweet 4-month-old baby girl every day while her mom is at PA school. It makes me so happy!

Every once in a while I'll post some pictures, mostly for Ellie's parents. But I guess you guys can see them too :) Is she not adorable?!

Meet Ellie!

Ellie is such a happy girl! She hardly ever cries and when she does it isn't even loud. Love it!

She often has her little hands up by her face :)

Sometimes Trent gets to play with Ellie too, when he's on his lunch break for substitute teaching :)

Ellie is too fun (I just realized that in the picture above, her shirt says "It's fun to be me"..haha)! Every day I look forward to playing with her, dressing her in her cute clothes, feeding her, cuddling her to sleep, and listening to her "talk". SO adorable! Brittany warned me that I would totally fall in love with Miss Ellie and I totally have! Did I mention I have the best job ever?!
