Gobble Gobble

I loved the simplicity of our Friday evening date last night.  It was so simple yet so fun for me.  It was kind of a rough week so it was really nice to just be with Trent enjoying our time together before this little guy comes.  I'm 30-weeks now and kind of, totally freaking out (haha) BUT I'm also totally psyched :)

We first picked up some sandwiches for a young family in the ward (I visit taught the girl) that's moving today.  The Compassionate Service committee came up with the idea to drop by sandwiches the night before any family moves since they've probably packed away all of their silverware and what not.  I think it's a great idea, something I had never thought about!

Then we headed over to Border's at the mall.  I had heard rumors that Border's was going out of business a while back, but didn't realize just how soon!  We got there and it was already completely closed.  Nothing was there anymore!  We thought we'd be able to get some steals of a deal.  Oh well!

Outside of Border's we ran into a buddy from Trent's mission and his wife.  It was so fun to hear them catch up some.  They were both so excited to see one another..haha.  We may just be hanging out with them in the near future :)

I didn't want to just head home after this so we went inside the mall to see if any of the department stores had a cute outfit I've had my eye on for baby boy.  Our first stop was J.C.Penney and sure enough, we found it!  And it was on sale!  I was so excited.

Baby is due November 25, the day after Thanksgiving.  Since I first got pregnant I've assumed he'll come a little early, maybe just because I came early (although I'm a twin).  I don't really know.  Anyway, when I saw this little outfit I just had to have it :)

Here's the front...

and the little bum bum is what had me sold!  It's a turkey if you can't quite tell :)

Trent keeps asking what we'll do if baby doesn't actually come until his due date or even after.  I've assured him we will still dress him in this..haha.  You all will be seeing a picture of our new baby in this outfit, promise..haha.

After I had perused the baby section a few times over (it was SO fun!) we obviously (from the pictures) headed home.  I have been craving an orange julius for several weeks now so I finally made some for us and it was DELICIOUS!  I used this recipe.  Be sure to read his updated note about using half powdered sugar and half regular sugar.  Oh and we had to half the recipe.  Our blender wasn't big enough for all of it.

Pourin' in the sugar :)

And wa-la!  Fancy glass and all :)

So delicious!  We finished off our evening by watching "It's Kind of a Funny Story."  We really liked it!  It's pretty funny!

Did You Know...

Trent and I watched Big Fish last night and I learned an interesting fact from it about the common goldfish..haha. (Good movie by the way!)

If kept in a small bowl the goldfish will remain small (its growth becomes stunted). With more space the fish will grow double, triple, or quadruple its size.

I never knew that! Trent had heard it before. I almost want to do an experiment and get two goldfish and put one in a fishbowl and the other in a tank and then see if the one in the tank grows to be bigger than the one in the fishbowl.

Almost.

By the way, as of yesterday I am halfway through my pregnancy (20 weeks)! I can't believe it! It's flying by! At the same time it's also weird that I still have the same amount of time left in my pregnancy that I've already had being pregnant. (Wow! That makes complete sense in my head and out loud, but it's hard to express in writing.) I really think November will be here before I know it though!

Love You 'Till The End

I was just listening to this song on iTunes and I had to write. I love, love this song and I love, love this movie, P.S. I Love You. I have yet to read the book, but I have plans to do so soon :)

This movie is at the very top of my favorites list! I don't know why, but I really like sad movies. I love a good cry every once in a while (well maybe more than that..I'm a crier for sure..haha). Because of this movie, going to Ireland is totally on my bucket list. Assuming the movie was actually shot in Ireland, it looks gorgeous and green and simple. Trent and I will go there someday :)

And this is a song I will always tie with this movie. I could seriously just listen to it on repeat. I think it's so beautiful! I'm grateful though that there will be no end to Trent and I's love. We get to love each other for eternity. Which actually really freaks me out by the way. Not the being with Trent for eternity part, but the thought of eternity. I think it's mostly because it's impossible to comprehend eternity. I don't even like to try. It freaks me out too much..haha. Don't worry, I know it's a great thing though :)

Really random post! Now I want to go watch P.S. I Love You!

Love it!

I feel like I just posted about (500) Days of Summer (here), but I watched it again last week while I was finishing up my wreath (post below) and I had to share this.

Have you guys seen this video?! It makes me so happy! And the dancing totally cracks me up! And I really wish Zooey and Joseph would have dated in real life because I think they are adorable together. Except I just Wikipedia-ed (do you love how I made that a verb?) Zooey and found out she's already married..haha. So much for that!

Oh and I just found out that this is actually Zooey singing. I think subconsciously I knew that because she has such a distinct voice, but it was fun to find out for sure. She's in a band called She & Him. Isn't she talented? I just love her!

P.S. Babe, we are so learning this dance..haha

Such a happy scene!

*Spoiler alert for those who haven't seen (500) Days of Summer

I just posted this video to my Facebook profile, but I figured I'd put it here for anyone who doesn't really use Facebook. We watched (500) Days of Summer last night and I just love this scene :) How can you not feel happy watching this?? I love Joseph Gordon Leavitt's character in this movie. I kept telling Trent that his love for Summer is palpable. I can't help but feel sad that Tom doesn't end up with Summer in the end. But it's still such a good movie! Definitely one of my top favorites :)

Anyway, back to this scene. I've decided that from now on, if I'm ever feeling down, I can probably just watch this! Does it not make you want to jump up and dance with him?? If only everyone could always be this happy!

The Last Song

I finished reading The Last Song Tuesday night. Loved it. I think I'd say, without hesitation, that Nicholas Sparks is my favorite author. Added to my bucket list - to see a Loggerhead Sea Turtle nest hatch like Ronnie and Will do in the book (and for anyone who hasn't read it yet, I don't think I'm giving anything away b/c the cover of the book has baby turtles on it). I'm excited to go see the movie now! I know the movie is never quite the same as the book. Like Dear John. Even though there were some significant changes in the movie, I really liked it.

Oh and do you notice anything off about this picture?

The library put the cover on upside down..haha. I thought it was pretty funny!
