Trinity College & St. Patrick's Cathedral

Thursday, June 27th

Outside our apartment, in the courtyard before we headed out.

Everyday we rode the Luas (a tram) into the city and then got on the Hop On - Hop Off Dublin Tour Bus.

It was rainy this day so were glad we got to put our new rainwear to use :)

Our first stop of the day was Trinity College.

The bell tower.

Waiting to get inside to see the Book of Kells exhibit.

I didn't get any pictures from the exhibit because Aiden was acting up (one of the few times I thought it may've been better to leave Aiden at home).

Next we got to go upstairs to the Old Library, which was really neat.

The Long Room.

It was so cool to see the thousands of old books that they are working to preserve.

Ireland's oldest harp.

Back out on campus.

Surprised to find out it was graduation day!

There were graduates all over the place!

We headed to lunch afterward and to warm up some with delicious hot chocolate :)

Entering St. Patrick's Cathedral.

There were the most amazing stained glass windows throughout.

Loved the ceilings and architecture!

Aiden had had enough..haha.

The outside.

Waiting for the bus.  Aiden would just plop down anywhere ;)

Walking through Dublin, back to the Luas.

Picked up a few cupcakes before heading home.

The ceiling was all cutesy ;)

Aiden was always happy to get back to the apartment :)

P.S. You'll notice after this day that my hair is it's natural wavy.  Yeah, all of our straighteners blew out and we were even using a converter.  Total bummer.  A new straightener was my first purchase when we got home..haha.
